Our 2025 Impact
Creating Connections
The Autism Society of Greater Akron expanded access in meaningful ways this year, delivering 146 programs that fostered 7,719 connections to vital resources. These touchpoints empowered everyone across the local Autism community to navigate challenges, build confidence, and live more fully.

Here are some highlights:
Adapted Community Events
1,771 neighbors found connection, understanding, and inclusive community through ASGA’s adapted community events—nearly double the reach from 2024.
Advocacy
646 attendees elevated their perspectives through ASGA’s monthly VOICE sessions—gaining tools to navigate the complex world of disabilities and ensuring their voices were heard, valued, and amplified.
Education
Education programs equipped 401 learners with practical tools and knowledge—meeting members the Autism community where they are and strengthening confidence at every stage of the journey.
Information & Referral
The HelpLine provided immediate, compassionate guidance during critical moments—supporting 1,201 inquirers as they navigated Autism related challenges throughout 2025.
Support
ASGA brought Autism Resource Guides to our website at the end of July, providing access to critical fact-based information to people when they need it. These new digital documents were viewed more than 1850 times in just five months. The ASGA online community also expanded significantly, growing by 926 Facebook followers and 118 Caregiver Group members—deepening the support network families rely on every day.
Social Connections
862 teens and adults with Autism discovered authentic friendships, community, and a place to feel a sense of belonging through Social Clubs—creating one of ASGA’s most vibrant and fast-growing connection points.
Volunteers
2,507 volunteer hours powered ASGA’s mission—fueling programs with the equivalent of $81,277 in community-driven support and making a measurable difference across Northeast Ohio.
