iCan Bike Camp Needs
80 Volunteers

You can make a difference!

This is a life changing camp that teaches individuals of many different abilities to ride a bicycle independently. This achievement promotes confidence and self-reliance in many other aspects of their lives.

Role of the Volunteer

80 volunteers are needed to make this camp a success. Volunteers walk/lightly jog beside riders to help teach balance and provide emotional/motivational support. We encourage every volunteer to commit to working the entire week of the camp for the 75-minute session they select. Campers bond with their volunteers and rely on the same person to be there each day to help them learn to ride a bike.

Volunteer Requirements

Must be at least 15 years old, able to walk fast or jog for 75 minutes with short breaks. A five-day commitment for a session time is desired and appreciated, but alternative schedules are considered.

Training provided at the Volunteer Orientation meeting:
July 6 at 4 pm at Copley High School

No prior experience with people with disabilities necessary.

You get a cool t-shirt too!
