QUESTION & ANSWER

What do chickens eat?
They remind you of a garbage disposal because they eat almost anything - grass, bugs, fruits, vegetables, and scraps from the kitchen table.

What are chickens called?
A female (girl) chicken is called a hen. The male (boy) chicken is called a rooster. A baby chicken is called a chick and sometimes a peep.

Do all chickens lay white eggs?
No, some chickens lay brown, blue, green and pink eggs!

Do chickens get good grades?
Chickens have great memories and can recognize faces and voices, but don't depend on them for the answers to a test!

Can chickens fly?
Yes, chickens can fly! They only fly for very short distances. Some chickens can fly high enough to get over a fence so some farmers clip (cut) the chicken's wings. It doesn't hurt!

Who is related to the chicken?
The chicken is the closest living relative to the great Tyrannosaurus-Rex dinosaur.
