Dr. Pangonis is a pediatric infectious disease physician and associate director of Infection Control at Akron Children’s Hospital, where he’s been practicing since 2020. A graduate of the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine, he completed his pediatric residency at the University of Nevada School of Medicine. He went on to complete a pediatric infectious diseases fellowship at Cincinnati Children’s Medical Center. Dr. Pangonis has a special interest in pediatric infectious diseases and infections in the immune-compromised patient. He is certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics, and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He’s also a member of the Infectious Disease Society of America, the Pediatric Infectious Disease Society and several other professional organizations. In his spare time, he enjoys playing chase with his 4 year old son.
