Volunteers in our community are helping the Autism Society of Greater Akron fulfill its mission every day – to improve the lives of all affected by autism. Volunteering with us is easy and there are a number of different opportunities to suit every interest or desire to help, no matter how much time one has to devote to a project.

Autism 5k Run & Walk
Saturday, June 16 • 6:00 am - 12:00 pm (start times vary)
This is our signature fundraising event requiring 100 volunteers to make it a success. A variety of positions are needed including Course Marshals, Water Stations, Operations, Kid's Zone and more.
iCan Bike Camp
July 9-13, 2018 • Great for Student Community Hours
Copley High School
A 5-day camp that teaches individuals of all different abilities how to ride a two-wheel bicycle independently. 80 volunteers make this camp a success serving as Volunteer Spotters. They provide support and motivation to their camper throughout the week.
Volunteer Requirements: Must be at least 15 years-old, able to walk fast or jog for 75 minutes with short breaks. A five day commitment for a session time is appreciated, alternative schedules are considered. Must attend Volunteer Orientation meeting on July 8 at 4pm at Copley High.
Daily Sessions Times: 8:30am, 10:05am, 11:40am, 2:00pm, 3:35pm
