The Autism Society of Greater Akron is excited to provide a time for grandparents to network and talk about their children and grandchildren who are living with a disability. Being a grandparent is one of life’s true blessings. But walking the narrow line between wanting to share in treatment and parenting decisions for your special-needs grandchild and allowing your adult children to determine what is best can feel like a harrowing, tight-rope act.
Every family has its own dynamics, so let's get together and discuss:
NOTE: While there is a focus on autism, grandparents of grandchildren of all abilities are welcome!
