Join Attorney Andy Brennan and a panel of experienced, local parents in an exploration of guardianship and other alternatives for individuals age 18 and beyond.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Attorney Andy Brennan of Disability Rights Ohio provides information, assistance, and advocacy to protect the civil, legal, and human rights of people with disabilities. His specialty areas are abuse/neglect of individuals with disabilities in jails and prisons, and individuals with guardians.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
This session is for parents, caregivers, or professionals working with youth and young adults who have developmental disabilities and/or require significant support.

- Explore other options to guardianship
- Develop a better understanding of the laws and new standards
- Learn about the rights of people with disabilities
- Become more informed about limited guardianship, power of attorney, supported decision making and how the process works
