Caring Santa

2016 santa dogABOUT THE PROGRAM

I have been organizing this event for seven years now - wow!  Every year, I enjoy watching the entire family spend time together in an autism-friendly atmosphere.

The lights are down low in the mall.  There are no bustling shoppers or loud music.  There are only the smiles of caring Autism Society Elves that are waiting to play games and make crafts with those that attend both young and older (wink wink).  Families select a time slot beginning at 8am with the last time slot being 10:30am.  Please be considerate of others and do not save a slot if you do not plan on attending as you may be taking an opportunity away from another family.

PRICING

ASGA partners with the mall at no cost to bring this event to families. Donations to ASGA to offset the price of this event are welcome and appreciated.  Pictures are for a nominal fee from Noerr Programs. The Autism Society has no control over the pricing, but there are limited family scholarships available to families.  Please email Lisa HERE for information.

WHAT PEOPLE SAY

This event gave me the first photograph of my 35-year old son with Santa ... we had a wonderful time!

My kids enjoyed the Christmas activities, decorating the ornaments and putting them on the tree. I know when I tell them they are going again they will be very excited. I am glad that you guys do this as it takes the stress of this event away especially when we are the only ones there.        Ginny, mom

What an amazing experience we had at "Caring Santa" on Sunday.  We have never had a visit with Santa go so smoothly!!!  That was our first time being involved with the Autism Society and it definitely will not be our last.  Your organization truly made us feel welcome and a part of something wonderful.  Thank you and everyone there who made our day so special!!!         Lisa & Family
