The IEP/504 Plan process can be extremely intimidating, leaving parents awash in data, assessments and measurable goals. Maggie noted that kindergarten used to exist solely for socialization and play, but today’s kindergarten is the first year of formal education with required core curriculum standards which can influence the next 12 years of a child’s attitude toward school and learning.
