FAMILY INCLUSIVE POP-IN EVENT: TREES & LEAVES Saturday, October 24, 2020 • 10:00am to 12:00pm Join our Autism Friendly Partner, Portage Park District to learn about the trees and leaves in Seneca Ponds Park! Take a self-guided exploration, reserve a time slot to borrow materials to do leaf and bark rubbings, and get a tree field guide and a FREE hands-on activity to take home. TRAINING FOR DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONALSDirect Support Professionals (DSP) play an imortant role in the lives of individuals with autism and intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD). DSP's give direct care and support those individuals to lead a self-directed life and contribute to the community to the fullest extent possible. VOTING FROM A DISABILITY-RIGHTS PERSPECTIVEAs we move closer to Election Day, it is critical you or your loved ones know your voting rights as an individual with disabilities. Make sure you are registered and get proper information on voting in person vs mail-in voting. It is important to know each candidate's stance on disability rights to build a better future for those impacted by autism and other developmental and physical disabilities.
