movin groovin ErinTRAINING FOR DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONALS

Direct Support Professionals (DSP) play a crucial part in the lives of individuals with autism and intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD). They give direct care and support those with I/DD to lead a self-directed life and contribute to the community to the fullest extent possible. ASGA has been asked many times to provide training to DSP’s on “autism.”

We heard you and developed a pilot online training program that addresses some of the common questions we are asked.

•  I don’t understand why he does that…Sometimes she acts like she doesn’t hear me.

•  How can I help my clients, help themselves better?

•  I really want to find a connection, but sometimes it’s hard.

•  I want to learn more about autism!

If you are a DSP, this training is for you!

More details coming, but you can email ASGA if you would like to receive information on this training as soon as it is available!

 What parents are saying:

“The CTA group has been completely invaluable to me. I have learned so much. When our son was first diagnosed, I immediately searched to connect with others. The CTA group was a God-send…I’ve built friendships, learned about resources, and I now know that I am not alone. I still continue to attend even though it’s been 4 years since our son’s diagnosis.”
