ASGA’s Program Wish List

Adapted Community Events

About the Program
Our adapted community events are designed to make local experiences—like swimming, bowling, holiday celebrations, and outdoor activities—accessible and enjoyable for individuals with autism and their families. These events provide safe, sensory-friendly environments where participants can engage without fear of judgment, helping participants feel included in their community.

Individuals with Autism and their families often face barriers to participation in typical community activities due to sensory sensitivities, communication challenges, and lack of understanding from others. Adapted events remove these barriers by offering trained staff, structured supports, and accommodations that promote comfort and inclusion. They give everyone the chance to connect, build confidence, and create joyful memories together.

How You Can Help
To make these events successful, we rely on supplies that create a welcoming and supportive environment—items like sensory-friendly materials, craft supplies, snacks, water, games, and event decorations. You can make a direct impact by donating these essentials through our Amazon Wish List or the links below. Every contribution helps us create experiences that allow individuals with Autism and their families to fully participate and feel connected to their community.

Social Clubs – Friendship, Teen, Adult

About the Program
Our Social Clubs provide Autistic individuals aged 7 to adult with opportunities to build friendships, practice social skills, and enjoy activities in a safe, structured environment. These clubs meet regularly and focus on fun, connection, and confidence—whether through games, outings, or shared interests.

Many individuals with Autism struggle with isolation and limited social opportunities. Traditional social settings can feel overwhelming or unwelcoming, making it hard to form meaningful relationships. Social Clubs remove these barriers by offering a supportive space where participants can connect, learn, and thrive—helping them feel included and valued.

How You Can Help
To make these gatherings engaging and enjoyable, we rely on supplies like board games, craft materials, snacks, drinks, and activity kits. You can make a direct impact by donating these essentials through our Amazon Wish List. Every contribution helps us create fun, inclusive experiences that foster friendships and confidence for individuals with Autism.

Caregiver Support Group

About the Program
Caregivers raising children with Autism of any age often feel isolated and overwhelmed. ASGA’s Caregiver Support Group provides a safe, welcoming space where caregivers can connect, share experiences, and build resilience. These conversations strengthen social support networks, reduce stress, and empower caregivers with resources and strategies—helping families thrive, not just cope.

Each evening includes dinner, discussion, and opportunities to connect with others living the Autism journey. Providing dinner removes a major barrier for caregivers who often juggle busy schedules and family responsibilities. By offering a meal, we make it easier for parents to attend without worrying about cooking or rushing through dinner, creating a relaxed environment where meaningful conversations and connections can happen.

How You Can Help
To make Caregiver Support Groups a warm and welcoming experience, we rely on simple supplies that create comfort and connection—items like water, dinner, snacks, journals, pens, and conversation cards. You can make a direct impact by donating these essentials through our Amazon Wish List. Every contribution helps us provide caregivers with the support they need.
