Adapted North Pole Adventure
All excursions leave from the Rockside Station
7900 Old Rockside Rd in Independence
ASGA is excited to offer two Adapted North Pole Adventures this year for individuals with disabilities and their families! Put on your pajamas and board the train for a magical ride to the North Pole. We look forward to seeing the beautiful lights and enjoying a visit with Santa!
WHAT TO EXPECT
- Social narrative to review before the trip.
- Separate line at the station to obtain tickets.
- Reduced crowd with 48 seats – not 70-80 like regular coach car.
- Activity kit with crafts and games to do during idle time.
- Hot chocolate, cookies, and other dietary-friendly options.
- Write a letter to Santa – template for all communication types.
- Visit with Santa.
- Commemorative gift bag for each family.
WHAT IS THE COST?
Cost Per Person is $77.00.
- The train car has tables that seat 4 people, so tickets must be purchased in packages of two.
- 2 tickets @ $154 / 4 tickets @ $308 / 6 tickets @ $462
- If your child is under the age of two, no ticket will be required, but they must sit in an adult’s lap for the entire ride.
ARE YOU SERVED BY A COUNTY BOARD OF DD?
If you receive services from a County Board of DD, check with your SSA as you may be able to use family engagement funds to cover TWO TICKETS to the event (one ticket for the individual served and one adult to accompany them). ASGA can invoice some County Boards directly, so you may not need to pay out-of-pocket and get reimbursed. Please email Suzanne Erb to discuss your individual situation.
NOTE: YOUR tickets are not guaranteed until ASGA hears from your SSA that funds are approved for this event.
