Everyone deserves to be celebrated!
What Is the Birthday Club?
The Birthday Club is a new program for individuals of all ages that offers a thoughtful birthday card mailed during the recipient’s birthday month. Each card is created by volunteers and personalized to reflect individual interests and preferences, providing a meaningful way to feel recognized and celebrated.
Why the Birthday Club Matters
Traditional birthday celebrations can be overwhelming for many individuals on the autism spectrum. Large gatherings, noise, and sensory overload can take away from what should be a positive experience. The Birthday Club offers a simple, low‑pressure alternative—acknowledging each person’s birthday in a way that feels comfortable, respectful, and affirming. A personalized card can be a powerful reminder that someone is seen, valued, and thought of.
What to Expect
The Birthday Club will launch in June 2026 as we begin celebrating members of our community in a simple and meaningful way. As we get started, we want you to know that no one will be left out.
Birthdays January 1 – May 31:
You will receive a “Special Club” card in the mail.
Birthdays June 1 – December 31:
You can expect to receive your birthday card during your birthday month.
Deadline to ensure timely delivery:
Birthday information must be submitted by the 15th of the month prior to the birthday month to receive a card.

How to Receive a Card
- Click the sign-up form button below.
- Enter the participant’s name and mailing address so we know where to send the birthday card.
- Add the birthday month/day/year and any interests, hobbies, favorite characters, themes, or sensory preferences you’d like us to consider.
- Double-check your information for accuracy, then submit the form.
- Watch your mailbox: you’ll receive your card during your birthday month (friends with birthdays earlier in the year will receive a special club card).
If you’re signing up multiple participants, please submit a separate form for each person.
Volunteer to Make a Card
Volunteers are at the heart of what we do. With your help, we can create cards each month so that every community member who wants to receive a card can get one. ASGA will provide supplies and guidance—we just need help from our community of crafty helpers.
Two ways to volunteer:
- Volunteer at an ASGA event: Sign up to join one of our scheduled Birthday Club card-making events. We’ll add your name to our birthday card event distribution list. Then we’ll share upcoming dates/times and what to expect.
- Host a card-making event with your group: Have a workplace, student organization, club, or friend group that wants to help? Contact ASGA to coordinate a private Birthday Club card-making event—ASGA will provide supplies and guidelines, and your group provides the location and the helping hands.
Ready to help? Complete the volunteer form below (or the host form if you’re hosting), and we’ll follow up with next steps and scheduling details.
