Accessible Clinic for COVID and Flu Vaccines

ASGA is proud to partner with the Summit County Board of DD and Sand Run Pharmacy to provide this opportunity.

This Accessible Vaccine Clinic is for individuals and their families/caregivers who need extra support because of sensitivities or needle anxiety.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Pre-set appointments and forms sent in advance to minimize waiting time.
  • Trained pharmacists in techniques to support anxiety and communication challenges.
  • “Vaccine Support Bag” with Shot Blocker (tool to minimize pain from the shot), noise-canceling headsets, sunglasses, fidgets, and other items.
  • Calm Room to “regroup” if necessary.
  • Sensory-sensitive environment with calm music and lighting

WHO IS ELIGIBLE

  • COVID vaccine or booster for ages 12 and above
  • Flu vaccine for ages 7 and above
  • DO NOT have to be served by Summit DD
  • Medicaid and private insurance accepted
  • All abilities welcome
