Why Social Clubs?

Social clubs at the Autism Society of Greater Akron play a vital role in fostering community, connection, and personal growth for individuals with autism across all age groups. These clubs offer tailored activities and support for teens, little kids, and adults, providing safe and welcoming spaces where members can socialize, develop friendships, and enhance their social skills. By catering to diverse age groups, these social clubs help create a cohesive and inclusive community, empowering individuals with autism to thrive and feel connected.

Friendship Club

This club accepts ages seven to twelve. Club has themed activities and meets in-person on the 2nd and 4th Saturday each month. Registration is required.

Teen Social Club

A time for teens ages 13 to 17 to get together in-person. Club meets 2nd and 4th Tuesday each month. Must register to participate.

Adult Social Club

The Adult Social Club is for ages 18 and over and offers a way for you to connect and make friends with other adults with ASD who share interests and life’s challenges. Meetings are in-person at a variety of locations on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday each month.
