![]() VISIT WITH SANTA
We are excited to offer two dates this year for families to visit with Santa. Register HERE for Dec 9 in Summit County or Register HERE for Dec 10e in Medina County. Reserve a one-hour time slot to reduce crowds and noise, enjoy activities with ASGA Elves while you wait, have drinks and snacks, and get your photo with Santa.

All Aboard! Yes, ASGA is partnering with the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad to offer four nights of Adapted North Polar Adventure fun for individuals with disabilities and their families! Put on your pajamas and board the train for a magical ride to the North Pole. Enjoy a separate line for tickets, smaller number of riders, activity kit, snacks, and of course a view of the lights at the north pole and a visit with Santa.
County Board of DD Funds are accepted for this event. No waiver funds.

Our Barrow of Booze Raffle ends NOV 29. When you purchase a ticket, you support programs for individuals with Autism like ASGA's bike camp and water safety program. You also support programs for the entire family to enjoy like visits with Santa, fishing, and bowling. We appreciate your support of the Autism community AND wish you luck on winning over $800 of Holiday Cheer! Tickets start at $20.00. Raffle ends Nov 29. Drawing on Nov 30. |

The Spectrum Education Center in Alliance has 4 mock doctor offices where their Physician Assistant students practice their craft. They are opening their space from 4-6pm on Thursday, NOV 30 to allow families to explore and prepare for upcoming healthcare appointments. The event is FREE with registration appreciated. ASGA will be present to distribute information about needle anxiety, discuss support tools, and provide attendees with a FREE Vaccine Support Bag. REGISTER HERE

NOV 29, 1:30pm - Sensory Story Time at North Canton Public Library. DEC 1, 6-9pm - Recess: a service within First Christian Church helping parents with children of disabilities have the opportunity to breathe. DEC 6, 2pm - Webinar: Assistive Technology for Writing. Learn how assistive technology can help with a range of writing skill levels. See apps that help with different stages from drafting to revising along with learning the basics and various digital and voice options. DEC 9, 10:30am - Adapted Music and Movement at Brunswick Library. Music class may include instrument playing, singing, dancing, finger play, cuddle time and story time. Event adapted for all ages with developmental disabilities, autism, and sensory integration challenges, but all are welcome. Led by a Board-Certified Music Therapist from Music Izz Groovy. DEC 10, 1-2:15 pm Sensory Friendly Period. Join Schalmo Family YMCA for this FREE community event where you will have the opportunity to take pictures with Santa, write Santa a letter, decorate cookies, visit Police and Fire Department vehicles, as well as, crafts, games, an inflatable & much more fun! Holiday Event | Facebook DEC 11, 5-6:30pm - Creation Donation at East Canton Branch Library. Make sensory objects to donate to adults with developmental disabilities. DEC 12, 10:30am - Adapted Storytime at Medina Library. DEC 13, 1-2pm - #INCLUDEME HOUR AT NORTHWEST AKRON BRANCH LIBRARY - Special reading of Dr. Seuss' "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" with the Grinch! Presents for all participants and a photo opportunity. Make Christmas cards that you can keep or give to someone special. DEC 13, 2pm - Webinar: Finding Balance: Navigating the Maze of School Stress. Returning to school can be stressful for a variety of reasons, but that stress can be reduced with the right tools and supports. This workshop focuses on tips, tools, and supports that can help decrease school-based stress and anxiety. DEC 18, 6:30pm - Sensory Friendly Story Time at Wadsworth Library. DEC 19, 5-7pm - Adapted Santa at Brunswick Library. A Santa visit for families with special needs, sensory/autism integration challenges. Register online and a staff member will contact you. |
