Coffee, Tea & Autism - Kent/Stow

CTA Logo

Coffee, Tea, and Autism provides an informal forum for discussion and information sharing among anyone impacted by autism.  Facilitators are volunteers who have first-hand knowledge of living the autism journey and have completed their training in active listening skills, group dynamics and accessing resources.

These support groups can …

  • Connect people with similar experiences
  • Provide new resources, ideas, and suggestions
  • Encourage you throughout your journey
  • Celebrate successes no matter how small
  • Let you know you are not alone
  • Allow understanding with no judgment

Sometimes the best support and information comes from others living the same journey.

LET’S GET YOU CONNECTED!

KENT/STOW

Meeting Date: 3rd Friday of Every Month at 7:00 PM
Location:  Panera Bread · 4338 Kent Road, Stow OH 44224

Peer Facilitator:  Dana Moruzzi

A little about Dana ... I'm a registered dietitian and work in long-term care/skilled nursing facilities. My husband and I have a son and two dogs. Our Autism journey began when our son was diagnosed at the age of 8. I immediately sought out support and connected with the Parent-Led Support Group through the local Autism Society.  Our son is now 15, and I have remained active in this support group through every stage of our journey. It has been so valuable! I've learned about resources and opportunities that I would not have learned about otherwise. I've made friendships with others who share this journey. Knowing you're not alone makes a huge difference! I now have the opportunity to be the facilitator for this amazing group. I look forward to this new role with the support of the Autism Society of Greater Akron.
