GROWING FAMILY RESILIENCE SERIES

Here’s a funny question for today … are you feeling stressed?  Did you know that most humans live in stress about 70% of the time – that means they are functioning in survival or reactivity mode 70% of the time.  No wonder we never feel like we get any rest!

Trauma and sustained stress, whether perceived or real, live in the body and can affect a person’s emotional and physical health.  Learning to control the way we react to situations can improve self-esteem, promote relationships, and enhance our sense of well-being.

The Growing Family Resilience series helps parents, families and caregivers explore the causes of trauma and toxic stress in their lives along with strategies for what to do about it – with self and others.

You should attend if you want to:

  • Discover how trauma and stress are stored in the body and the healing process
  • Face life’s challenges from a calmer, more regulated state
  • Better connect with self, family, and others by shifting your everyday interactions
  • Change your perspective to promote more positive actions and intentions
