Upcoming
Events

ASGA events and fundraisers bring the Greater Akron autism community together for education, networking, and fun. Events range from the Annual Autism Summit Conference to sensory-friendly days with community partners to our largest annual fundraiser, the Autism 5k Run & Walk. Events and fundraisers offer families, caregivers, educators, other professionals, and individuals with autism a safe, comfortable place to be a part of the community and support ASGA's programs and services. Money raised for ASGA stays local to support those affected by autism in Medina, Portage, Stark, Summit and Wayne counties.

Join us for an evening dedicated to caregivers of adults with Autism and other developmental disabilities, as we delve into the unique challenges and opportunities that arise during the transition to adulthood and beyond. From navigating employment opportunities to fostering social connections, caregivers often encounter hurdles that require specific solutions.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND THIS EVENT

This event is tailored for parents and caregivers of adults with Autism and other developmental disabilities.  The goal is to establish connections between caregivers and service providers who can offer assistance in addressing specific questions of attendees.

DEVELOPING A VISION FOR A GOOD LIFE

Charting the LifeCourse (CtLC) helps individuals and families of all abilities and ages develop a vision for a good life. What do you need to know and do to achieve the vision? How can you find or develop supports along the way? CtLC tools help individuals and families think through these questions and document them so there is a consistent message provided to all parties involved.

Barb Saphoras from CtLC will introduce individuals, families, and providers to the Mapping Family Roles Tool at this event.
