SOCIAL CLUB for Adults with ASD
Let's Catch Up!
2nd & 4th Wednesday Each Month
7:00-8:00 pm | Mix of Virtual & In-person Meetups
Join us on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month for the Adult Social Club! The Club is for ages 18 and over and offers a way for you to connect and make friends with other adults with ASD who share interests and life’s challenges. Meetings are a mix between virtual Zoom meetings and in-person meet ups at a variety of locations.
The Social Club for Adults is designed for individuals who can take turns and participate in small group settings with a reliable form of language and an age-appropriate cognitive level.
WHAT TO EXPECT
MEET THE LEADERS
Tess Gladstone is currently a graduate student pursuing her PhD in Clinical Psychology. She loves being a therapist and a researcher. Born and raised in Cleveland, she remains an avid Cleveland sports fan. Living on the east coast for several years, she also has an appreciation for New Haven style Apizza- mashed potatoes on a pizza which she says you should try! Outside of working hours you are most likely to find her running outside, reading a mystery or historical fiction novel, binging Hulu, playing with her nieces/nephew, or drinking a hot chocolate.
Zachary Strickler works at Kent State University in the Student Accessibility Services office. His education is in rehabilitation counseling; he is also on the Autism spectrum. This gives him an insight into the disability through a personal and professional light. He also likes many nerdy activities like D&D and wood working.
GUIDELINES TO PARTICIPATE
The Club is not considered a therapy group and is not equipped for that purpose. It is only intended to provide an opportunity for connections and fun interactions among individuals of a similar age.
