Courses for Professionals

ACF SupportDirect Support Professionals (DSP) play an important role in the lives of individuals with autism and intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD). DSPs give direct care and support to individuals so they can lead a self-directed life and contribute to the community to the fullest extent possible. Many times ASGA has been asked to provide training for DSPs on “autism.” We have listened and developed this program with your questions in mind!

Through "On The Right Side of Autism", participants will learn strategies to support and engage individuals with ASD that include both visual and behavior support. The six learning modules build on each other and are approximately 60 minutes in length each.  Specific learning objectives are outlined and a short quiz follows each module to measure learning.

The target audience for this course is Direct Service Providers, including day program, residential care staff, job coaches, and others with direct support duties.

Earn 6 CPDU’s for Adult Services, SSA and County Board Members.
