EMAIL vaccine ADA

About the COVID-19 Vaccine and Your Rights Under the ADA

DOWNLOAD THE FACT SHEET for answers to the following:

  • Can my employer, school, or private business require vaccination?
  • Does the ADA allow me not to have to follow a vaccination mandate? What is a reasonable accommodation?
  • Does HIPPA allow me not to share my vaccination status?
  • How can I document and/or share my vaccination status?
  • New Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidance has talked about the risk of vaccinated folks who are immunocompromised? What does this mean and how do I know if my disability puts me in that group?
  • Some public health officials have talked about vaccine booster for people at high-risk? How will I know if I am in this group? How will I be able to get a booster as soon as they make the decision?
  • The CDC has updated guidance on preventative measures, such as masking and social distancing, but my state/local community/school are not following this guidance. Does IDEA, 504, ADA protect my access to school and work in safety?
Congratulations advocates everywhere! Parents in Ohio no longer have to give their children up to receive the care they need. Last week the Ohio Resilience through Integrated Systems and Excellence (OhioRISE) program launched a new Ohio Medicaid specialized managed care behavioral health program for young people with the most complex needs.
