ASGA is excited to provide a time for grandparents to network and talk about their children and grandchildren who are living with a disability.  Join Jocelyn Eskenazi, BCaBA from The Esken Group, LLC to learn ways you can help your child, tips for interacting with your grandchildren, suggestions on talking with family members and more. While there is a focus on autism, grandparents of grandchildren of all abilities are welcome!

ASGA is pleased to partner with Portage Park District for an Inclusive Pop-In Event at Towner's Woods.   Registered attendees enjoy a self-guided exploration with binoculars or insect nets provided by the park to discover the birds and butterflies native to Towner's Woods.  Participants receive information guides and a hands-on activity to take home.  Safety guidelines apply to the extent possible at this free event where registration is required.

RESEARCH STUDY: The Jaswal Lab at the University of Virginia is conducting a survey on perceptions of labels for individuals with ASD.

FREE WORKSHOPS: PAC Meetings with State Support Team 8 - check out their list of free workshops for families of students with disabilities and parent mentors.

FALL 2020 DRAMA CLASSES: Register for the Center for Applied Drama & Autism's virtual 10 week drama classes. 

FREE WORKSHOP: Join Bhawna Sudhir and CADA for, In Motion: Self Expression through the Arts, a free virtual worshop on September 26 at 3 PM via Zoom.

RESEARCH STUDY: Case Western Reserve University is conducting a study on sleep in young children with autism. Do you meet the criteria? If so, you may be compensated for your participation!

WILD HIKE CHALLENGE: With Portage Park District encourages healthy recreation in our parks and trails while showcasing Portage County’s rich natural heritage that we are working to conserve.

RESEARCH STUDY: TCU – Texas Christian University is working on two studies: Siblings of Children with Autism: Recruiting fathers who have both a child with ASD and a neurotypical child who are siblings. Both must be between 8-16 years old and Supporting Mothers of Children with Autism: Recruiting mothers who have a child with autism between 4-17 years old and are both divorced and not currently in a relationship.
